Dijana Djokovic reacts to news of Novak getting his visa reinstated

Dijana Djokovic was delighted after her son Novak won his case on court as she stated her son didn’t break any law.

Djokovic was detained at the Melbourne Airport for nine hours before the Australian Border Force cancelled his visa.

Djokovic was then tranported to an immigration hotel, where he spent the next few days.

Djokovic appealed the decision and on Monday the judge reinstated the Serb’s visa.

Dijana admitted she was worried about her son and stated this was the biggest victory of his career.

“We celebrate the victory of our son, who has done nothing wrong, has not broken any law and has been harassed. He fought vs. the system because he knows he had a valid visa,” Dijana said, per Tennis Majors.

“It was so difficult at some moments. At some point he didn’t have his mobile phone, we didn’t know if he was ill or so. Every mother in the word can understand what I mean.

“He couldn’t see the people dancing and singing but he could hear them and it helped him. It’s the biggest win of his career, bigger than any Grand Slam.”

Djordje Djokovic grateful for the support

After Djokovic’s visa was reinstated, Djordje thanked to everyone who supported the world No. 1.

“Thank you to people all over the world, people have risen in defence of Novak, we have seen the footage in front of the detention centre. Also, thank you to Judge Kelly, who was thorough and neutral,” Djordje said, per Sasa Ozmo.

“I am sure judicial system of Australia was under enormous pressure, the whole world was watching.

“Novak is free, he practiced on the courts. He went there to chase another title, with the best possible intent and all the documentation.”

Djokovic is a record nine-time Australian Open champion and he has won the tounament’s past three editions.
