Bernard Tomic gets fully vaccinated ahead of Australian Open

Bernard Tomic is now fully vaccinated as he has received the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Feeling the second jab. Hopefully better tommorow,” Tomic captioned an Instagram Story.

Tomic has had a couple of rough years but his fire for the game has returned and he is determined to bounce back in 2022.

“I’ve had a lot of hate in my life. But I can’t give up. You don’t think I see the hate comments? It hurts,” Tomic said on Instagram.

“In the past I used to let it get to me and react out of stupidity. But now I’m using it as fuel. “I’m back. I’m hungry, and I’m ready. No one can stop me now, but me. “I’m training, I’m sweating, I’m pushing, I’m fired up. Whatever it takes to get back on top. “Hard work pays off. I’ve put my blood sweat and tears into this sport. I have come back before. It’s time to set the record straight.”

Tomic was on the verge of retiring

Tomic openly admitted a few years ago that he felt burned out and that tennis wasn’t something that was giving him any pleasure.

“I stopped playing two-and-a-half years ago. I went ‘I’m over it’. I had outside distractions,” Tomic said. “But I’m kind of bored of that too now to be honest.”

Tomic has made some changes to life in recent time as he has turned vegan.

Tomic revealed world No. 1 Novak Djokovic inspired him to turn vegan.

“You know I changed to Vegan two and a half, three years ago and I love it, it’s an amazing feeling,” Tomic said.

“A lot of successful people are vegan. I got inspired actually by Novak, so it was something I tried and it worked for me. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to eating anything else so I’m a proud vegan.”
