Nick Kyrgios speaks extremely highly of Daniil Medvedev

Six-time ATP champion Nick Kyrgios thinks Daniil Medvedev’s poses the biggest threat to Novak Djokovic at Melbourne Park as he has tipped the Russian to win multiple Grand Slams.

Medvedev, 25, has proved more than capable of playing well against Djokovic as he saw off the Serb in the US Open final to lift his maiden Grand Slam title and prevent the Serb from winning a record 21st Grand Slam title and becoming the first round player since 1969 to win all Majors in the same year.

Also, Kyrgios mentioned Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas as the players who could make a splash at Melbourne Park.

“I think [Daniil] Medvedev is unbelievable. I think he’ll win multiple slams,” Kyrgios told The Age of the challengers to Djokovic’s crown.

“I mean obviously [Alexander] Zverev – he’ll obviously be good. [Stefanos] Tsitsipas, I mean pretty much all the guys in the top, 10 I guess.

“But I hope the Aussies do well, I want someone from Australia to break through. The Demon [Alex de Minaur], I feel like [Jordan] Thompson is gonna have a good summer.”
