New year and new ownership for La Colombera Golf. The Castrezzato club in 2022 season will officially pass from the Tomasoni family to Borgosesia Spa 1873. It is a listed company “active in the sector of investments in non-performing and alternative assets in general”, reads a note. The package taken over by Borgosesia includes the Colombera Golf Resort, a restaurant, a riding stable, eleven apartments and a villa. The investment “confirms the company’s interests in the hospitality sector”.
In detail, Borgosesia has reached an agreement with the Tomasoni family to support them, in an articulated financial restructuring process, in the enhancement of the complex and of the pertinent areas. The resort, inaugurated in 2007 in Franciacorta (Bs) on an area of 300 thousand square meters, stands in a context of “rare natural beauty”.
Inside there is a restaurant known for celebrating large events and weddings. Then a riding school, apartments, a villa and a nine-hole course. The objective of Borgosesia is therefore to “proceed with the enhancement of the complex and of the pertinent areas. In this context, the aim is to evaluate the completion of the real estate development for residential and hospitality use in the areas still to be developed “.
La Colombera Golf, statements
“We believe that the time may be ripe to complete the operation undertaken by Roberto Tomasoni almost 20 years ago”, said finally Davide Schiffer, managing director of Borgosesia. “We focus on the strategic position of the area at the foot of Franciacorta. It is 15 minutes from Brescia and, thanks to the perfect connection with the A4 and Brebemi motorways, only 30 minutes from Milan. Same distance from Orio al Serio airport. We also focus on the quality of the place that will allow us to accommodate the real estate trends of post-pandemic housing “.
The purchase of mortgage loans, including those of the Colombera Golf Resort, as a whole required an investment of 4.2 million euros. All for a nominal amount of € 9.6 million, amounts including the first investment of the Group’s Alternatives division.
