Andy Murray: “I assume Djokovic is vaccinated”

2021 saw former world number one Andy Murray come back to full competition. After several physical problems and a season that began with COVID-19 Andy came back to playing at great levels, he obtained important victories against top ten players (also among other things the victory in the Stockholm ATP against Jannik Sinner) and has performed well.

But now Andy Murray does not stop and even now that the tennis is stopped he is continuing to play and will be the protagonist at the performances of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, scheduled from the tournament to 16 to 18 December.

The tennis player spoke to the Tennis of Journal microphones and talked about many issues, including the issue of vaccinating world number one Novak Djokovic.

The former world number one spoke like this: “Battle between the English? I am quite competitive when it comes to my country and I want to do my Scotland well.
I think it will be a tough fight and a hard-fought result.

Murray’s words on Djokovic

The presence of Novak Djokovic in Melbourne? Well, I don’t know the situation of him, but the last thing I know is that Nole is among the entries for the Australian Open, so I suppose for this idea that he can train and therefore he is vaccinated. In the end they told all of us that these are the rules if you are vaccinated and so I guess that is also the case for him, I think Novak Djokovic is vaccinated.

Do I agree with this idea? Ultimately I think that all the best tournaments want the top tennis players in their tournament, surely the records and the great rivalries ignite the passion of the fans. Novak Djokovic can win the 21st Grand Slam tournament and I hope to see him in Melbourne.”

Andy Murray’s season saw the Brit finish outside the Top 100, a goal that the former number one will try to achieve early next year. We recall, at this point, that Novak Djokovic should play the Australian events ATP Cup and the Australian Open 2021.
