Dominic Thiem is almost ready to come back

Dominic Thiem’s physical conditions are improving day by day. The Austrian was out of the ATP Tour for several months due to a bad injury to his right wrist. The former world number 3 experienced a terrible 2021 also from a psychological point of view, confessing on several occasions that he had lost the enthusiasm of the best times in being on the pitch.

Now, however, mind and body seem to return to travel on the right tracks. The encouraging progress certified by the medical checks he constantly undergoes convinced the Austrian and his team to circle a date on the calendar for his return to competition, which will be the month of December.

The Mubadala World Tennis Championship, an exhibition tournament to be held in Adu Dhabi, will be the scenario in which we will witness the return of the Grand Slam champion – as well as Rafael Nadal.

The roadmap for full recovery from the injury is going smoothly for Dominic Thiem, who has been giving more than encouraging signals in recent weeks. Exactly 20 days ago the announcement of participation in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi, yesterday a video showing him hitting the ball with his splendid one-handed backhand confirming the improvement in his condition.

Excellent news therefore for fans of him but in general for all tennis fans, who hope to see the Austrian champion juggle his racket in the tournaments that matter, perhaps starting with the Australian Open 2022.
