At the Rolex Paris Masters 2021, Novak Djokovic with the thrill overcomes an extraordinary Hubert Hurkacz after losing the first set, dominating the second for 6-0, he needed the tie-break of the third set to access what is only the second final ATP Masters 1000 of 2021, after the one lost in Rome against Nadal.

The world number one gets towards the 54th final of a Masters 1000, the 7th in Paris-Bercy, even if the most important goal is another. With this success the Serbian guarantees, in fact, the certainty of also closing 2021 at the top of the ranking: it is the seventh season that this happens, more than anyone else in the history of tennis, with overtaking at six by Pete Sampras, after passing already five of Federer and Nadal.

Alexander Zverev betrays expectations, fails the appointment quite clearly and is crushed into two sets of identical scoring and substance by Daniil Medvedev. The Russian wins with a double 6-2 the re-edition of last season’s final of the Masters 1000 in Paris-Bercy and flies towards the sixth final of the category, the second in this tournament. The world number two confirms the more than positive trend against Zverev and equalizes the head-to-head count at 5-5, but winning five of the last six matches.
