Barbora Strycova announces her pregnancy

Czech tennis player Barbora Strycova surprised everyone by announcing that she is expecting her first child. The current number 45 in the world hasn’t played an official match since the last Australian Open and there were many doubts around her future career, as she had previously hinted at a possible retirement.

The first Grand Slam of the season was thought to have ended with an injury to the Czech tennis player. But in the end it didn’t, and it was her pregnancy that prevented her from playing tennis.
