Roger Federer’s long-awaited come back to the ATP Tour finally came true: the 39-year-old from Basel took part in the Qatar Open in Doha at the beginning of March, struggling to overtake Daniel Evans before exiting at the hands of a revived Nikoloz Basilashvili, future tournament champion.
Roger has decided to skip the next appointment in Dubai, where he was nevertheless immortalized in a video together with a fan, who approaches him to ask for a photo with the mask down recklessly.
“It’s my lucky day,” the fan seems to say, as he tries to get closer to the eight-time Wimbledon champion. “Let’s keep a bit of distance,” comments Federer kindly, who prefers to give priority to safety.
